Socrates

Socrates was one of the most important characters of ancient greece.

He went to the school of the Sophists, where he started to replay everything that the sophists said, so he became the teacher of his own class ( without charging) and he do this because he said that he was a philosopher.

Socrates talked about the society.

Society means that there is a group of people that share things, they share historical times, cultural elements. And societies are not perfect because of their organization, they are not organized in the correct way.

Socrates was the master of argumentation, it means that he give value to all the things that he said. This is very important in philosophy.

He said that man is not nature, and that we do not learn from the nature, also he talked about ethics, it is the disscusion of what is wrong and what ir right.

He said that inside of him he has a divine voice, it was the voice of reasoning that told us what to say or what to do, and for this reason people did not like him because people acussed him of inserting new gods.

Finally he was sentenced to drink hemlock, because of impiety and of corrupting the childs.

Naturalism

Naturalism is a phylosophical movement that appeared in VIII B.C.E.
Naturalism is the phylosophical idea that explains that the laws and behaviour of the nature are explained by the same nature not by gods or starnge powers.
Tales of Miletus explain what nature really is, he said what is governed by the laws of nature and not by gods.

Anaximandros create the atomic theory, it said that everything in this world is made of very invisible pieces that are connected each other. Also he said that everything it's like a puzzle and all this pieces have to match, this pieces have their own shape and their own function.
In this time everyone was trying to understand the nature.

Philosophy

Philosophy is love and passion for knownledge. From the beggining of the time human kind has been lookinig for the big answers in order to explain the mistery of the universe and life.

In the primitive times people tried to explain everything through the action of gods: stars, fire,wind,rain, life and death, were actions of powerful beings. It was the time of religion however we can not say "it was" the time, we have to say it is the time because many people still "think" in the same way as the primitive people used to.

Later when the human kind got more knownledge discovered that we were not creations of gods but gods were our creations. And in this very moment is the end of religion and magician, and the beggining of philosophy and science.

In the human brain there are two posibilities, to think or to believe it means to know or to believe. If people believe too much can think too much. As far as people know can believe less.
